Anyone cruised on the Bahamas Celebration?

I’m looking to go on the 2 night cruise that departs from Palm Beach FL to the Bahamas and back. I don’t have a passport, but was born and raised in the US and have License, Social security card, and birth certificate. I have a friend that recently went on the same cruise and those forms of ID were fine for him, but i keep reading on the internet that a passport is needed. Has anyone cruised this same ship and had any issues with not having a passport? Would i be turned away, even though i have proof that i was born and raised here in the US. I’ve never left the US before.

IM NOT GETTING IT FOR FREE…AND IM VERY AWARE OF THE TIMESHARE PRESENTATION THAT I WILL BE IGNORING…IM JUST INTERESTED IN KNOWING IF ME NOT HAVING A PASSPORT WOULD CAUSE ANY ISSUES OR INCONVENIENCES?
